At least Bechtel's rights are safe

        Although Maxine Bechtel makes some valid arguments in support of her decision to reject homosexuality as a protected class, I find it highly objectionable that she would base her opinion as a public servant on religion rather than common sense.
        Public servants who explain their decisions as biblical mandates cross over that line of separation of church and state that has been enshrined in the establishment clause of our United States Constitution.
